About Us

Desi Herter

Hello Beautiful People – I’m happy to share your passion for the unknown. I'm originally from Western PA and have been in the Tampa Bay Area for the last 10 years. My wife, our twin boys, pups and kitty are my world, and we love to travel and camp as a family.

For a living, I work in higher education and oversee the operations of a local university.  My family and I live in Palmetto, FL (south of Tampa). I love to hike, camp, bake, do yard work, tour breweries, travel, live music, and spend as much time as I can with family. I am a proud family gal and carry my hard work ethic, family values and love of life with me everywhere I go.

My grandparents helped raise my brother and I, as our parents worked full-time. My Polish Pap told us stories of unworldly  creatures and beings from
as young as I can remember. Instead of fairy tales and nursery rhymes, we learned about Aliens, Ghosts, Sea creatures, and of course Bigfoot (Sasquatch). His passion became our passion and I've been researching, learning, and loving it all ever since.

When it comes to researching Sasquatch, I enjoy each sector of the process, but particularly enjoy the archaeology, anthropology, biology and history components. How nature, in all its forms, has an unspoken bond to the land and to one another throughout time. There is something quite breathtaking about it.
I love reading about the genre and have met some of the most profound authors on the topic. I have a strong preference for reviewing audio evidence and have made amazing connections with reputable researchers who are mentors. I hope to be able to return the favor someday.

Lastly, I have undying love for my research partner and friend, Troy. Many of our shared experiences would not have been possible without him. His skills in the woods are unmatched and his ability to share those talents with me is something I take with pride and undying heart. The relationships you acquire and build throughout this journey are by far, the greatest find. Thank you, my brother.

Peace & Love, Des

  • Wildlife Photographer
  • U.S. Army Veteran
  •  Outdoorsman

Troy Palmer has spent over five years conducting field research into the Sasquatch phenomenon, blending his skills as a wildlife photographer and outdoorsman with a relentless curiosity for one of the world's most enduring mysteries. Raised on a farm in Connecticut, Troy’s deep connection to nature was forged early in life, where he gained hands-on experience working with horses, cattle, and goats, as well as honing his hunting skills with deer, wild hog, coyote, and a variety of game birds.

Troy’s passion for the outdoors and wildlife has only grown since then, leading him to capture the natural world through the lens of his camera. As a skilled wildlife photographer, Troy documents the ecosystems he encounters, adding depth and precision to his Sasquatch field research, with an eye trained to observe even the subtlest details in nature.

Before embarking on his Sasquatch research, Troy served honorably as an infantry sergeant in the United States Army. His military experience instilled in him discipline, leadership, and tactical skills that now serve him in navigating the challenging and remote terrains where he conducts his investigations. This background in the armed forces, combined with his rural upbringing, provides him with a unique perspective on survival, wilderness tracking, and investigation.

In addition to his practical expertise, Troy holds an Associate of Science in Electrical Engineering, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and a Master of Arts in Management and Leadership. These academic credentials reflect his strategic and technical mindset, which he brings to his fieldwork, ensuring that every investigation is thorough and data-driven.

Whether documenting wildlife through his camera lens or leading expeditions into the wilderness, Troy Palmer combines his broad range of experiences to explore the uncharted territories of both nature and legend, always in search of the truth behind the mystery of Sasquatch.

Marian Gant

I grew up as one of those lucky kids whose mother would send them outside with the simple command to "go play." My childhood was filled with adventure—swimming, hiking, biking, riding horses, building forts, and exploring the wild world around me. Days were spent catching turtles, chasing ducks, climbing trees, and getting into all sorts of mischief with friends in the woods, swamps, and waters surrounding my neighborhood.

Inspired by the legendary film The Legend of Boggy Creek, I developed an early fascination with cryptids and mysterious phenomena. I devoured books, magazines, and documentaries on Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, UFOs, werewolves, and other legendary creatures. My curiosity deepened as I immersed myself in stories of sightings and encounters shared by others.

Everything changed when a close family member experienced their own Bigfoot sighting—suddenly, the world of cryptozoology became a reality. Since that moment, my passion for the unknown has only grown stronger, driving me to explore, investigate, and seek answers about the mysteries that have captivated me since childhood.
